This month on Audible I read 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi, which is about the attack in September 11 2012 Benghazi, Libya, ton he US State Department Special Mission Compound and a nearby CIA station.
The book is based on the personal stories of American security contractors who were involved in defending the locations and protecting the US staff at the sites.
The saddest part is realising that less people could have lost their lives if quicker decisions had been made by those in power.
It seems because the US Govt and CIA wanted to protect knowledge of their operations, the politics and backside covering is a higher priority and ultimately resulted in the death of the US Ambassador to Libya at the time.
Good read: 7/10
